AI technology known as Generative AI could soon be used to create personalized text messages in Google Messages. This feature, called “Magic Compose,” allows messages to be customized according to the sender’s mood or even in poetic form. The integration of Magic Compose into Google Messages is being reported by the 9To5Google website.
This new function in Google Messages lets you rewrite messages to match your mood or even make them sound poetic, like song lyrics. Artificial intelligence is used to generate personalized replies by rewriting a basic message. By clicking on a pencil icon next to the message, users can access a menu with various styles, such as “formal” or “excited,” as shown in the screenshots shared by 9To5Google.
The “lyrical” style in Google Messages creates a small poem from a simple message, making it more expressive and poetic. For example, instead of saying “OK, I’ll move the van,” the suggested message might be “Sure, I’ll move the van, I’ll do it right away, I’ll get it out of the way, so you can have your space.” This feature is still in the experimental stage and might be officially introduced at Google I/O, an annual developers’ conference taking place on May 10 in San Francisco. Artificial intelligence is expected to be a significant focus of Google’s announcements at the event.
